This is my website and I hope you will enjoy your visit. I am an Artist and my name is Jessie. I am interested in creating mythological art pieces, utilizing various media. At the moment  I have chosen two media, thread and clay which are versatile and ancient.. Thread is a  material that is quite unique and available in many forms and has been widely used for clothes and in many art forms. Clay , is as old as man's civilization and   just like the thread, it has been use both for arts and man's items of necessities..

In harnessing the potential artistic qualities of the thread,  I will be using the ancient art of Crochet . Interpreting art work using crochet is quite challenging to me because very few men have gone to experiment and use this technique. In doing my crochet doll, I have to individually sew each thread on each head.  This art require patience and dexterity of fingers. I find it very rewarding and therapeutic everytime I do my art works . Seeing my art and see the forms I have created has given me joy and contentment of what I can do with this medium.. I hope you could  appreciate and hopelfully, you could collect some of these unique and one of a kind  art items which I have created .

In doing my clay art, I found it quite different with my thread art. Both are three dimensional art pieces but quite different in applying the techniques of molding your work. The clay is more like ethereal object in your hand that posses a soul of itself as its form thru your hand with only your mind seeing what it should become.

Why Mythological Art

        Myth is a part of people's culture. It is man's link from his primival origin. It connect us from the past. It tell us stories when man tried to grasp his world.

        In my art presentation, I will create art pieces that have been inspired by various culture. This will provide us how these people see their world and their relationship with nature.

        I will also be presenting other art forms with different themes
